Imagine meeting in person Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, Tinkerbell, Peter Pan, Scooby Doo, Dora The Explorer, Spongebob, Shrek, Little Red Riding Hood, Cat in the Hat, Spiderman, The Power Rangers, pirates, and many other storybook Characters! That will again become a reality on Saturday, October 22nd and Sunday, October 23rd, when Algoma will host it's 5th Annual Halloween Walk at Algoma High School, 1715 Division St.
Led by organizers Debbie Graf (920-487-2210) and Terri Krause (920-487-3495), volunteers are making costumes, designing props, and creating "The Magic of Storybook-Land", where children and their escorts, presented with a map from Dora, may visit numerous animated sites. The children will be given treats as they walk through various areas in the school. Families will encounter approximately 30 live, costumed, interacting characters. Thomas the Train rides and hayrides will also be available, weather permitting. Pumpkin sale, face painting, picture cutouts, and many more treats and goodies are also in the making this year. Refreshments and food will be available. Admission is $5 per child and $2 per adult, all of which will be donated to local schools. Kids and families are encouraged to dress in costume and bring their cameras!
The Halloween Walk also will include "scary" places to visit for the older, braver participants. This will include witches, vampires, and other haunting experiences.
The 5th Annual Halloween Walk promises to be an exciting experience. Mark your calendars now for an experience you'll never forget!
